Welcome to my blog! I’m Lisa, a *mumbles* forty-something British Book Blogger and Reviewer. I have loved reading and all things books as long as I can remember. I live in Hampshire in the South of England and need coffee to function as a human being. My love of books is getting ridiculous.
My world pretty much evolves around books. So if I go missing, you’ll generally find me wrapped in a blanket or in the bath with my nose in a book or Kindle. Sometimes though I’m reading about books on Goodreads. Or loitering on Twitter. But I definitely don’t browse ARC’s on NetGalley for hours on end fighting my request urges. Oh and lastly I recently joined Instagram and Pinterest*
*Confuses the hell out of me.
I mainly read horror, psychological thrillers and historical fiction, but lately I’ve been getting into some non-fics, like true crime and the natural world. I also enjoy poetry, short stories and occasionally go for some light-hearted reads or humour.
Find me in all my online reading corners HERE.
My other passion is the coast and countryside. Off I go with my partner and we walk. And walk. And walk. I absolutely love nature, particularly birds and trees.
We pack a picnic, a flask of coffee, the binoculars and some wet weather gear, (this is Britain after all) and off we trot!
It’s usually the only time I don’t have a book or my kindle in my hand. Not only is it great for the mind, but also the body and soul. I have to do some kind of exercise, as I like food and red wine far too much!
I mainly post book reviews here, but when something really exciting happens, like receiving bookpost or reaching a milestone, I like to share, so there may be the odd photo or two.
Anyway, enough of my waffle, and if you’ve read this far, thank you!
Happy reading folks!!
